Annie was born in Lockhart, Texas on July 8, 1918. When Annie was 14 her mother passed away and it was then that Annie started her selfless acts of love by nurturing, loving and raising her siblings. At the age of 19 Annie met and married the love of her life, Vince B. Vacek. They settled in Fairchilds, Texas and together raised their 8 children, selflessly. The family quickly began to grow with in-laws and babies a plenty. Her sons: Clement Vacek, Leonard Vacek and wife June, Floyd Vacek, Vince R. Vacek and wife Doris, Eugene Vacek and wife Barbara. Her daughters; Margaret Charanza and husband Paul Sr., Catherine Uherek and husband August Sr., and Virginia Krejci and husband Clarence 'Bub'.

Annie soon found herself again giving selflessly to her 15 grandchildren whom she loved and adored. They began to add to the family with families of their own. Annies life was her family. She was everthing to everyone. In the role of mother she was a teacher, a chef, a doctor, a nurse, counselor, gardener, butcher, farmer and a seamstress to name only a few. She gave endlessly, continuously, tireless', and with so much love and forgiveness and compassion. She never asked for anything in return. Her faith in God sustained her thoughout her entire life. Annie will be greatly missed and always remembered by all her loved ones. Not only immediate family but also from cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
