Anne Joachim, of Richmond, passed away on September 14, 2014 in Houston, Texas at the age of 79. She was born on January 18, 1935 in Manzanola, Colorado to Donald and Ernestine (Bills) Barney.

Anne enjoyed golf, knitting and crocheting. Anne volunteered at several hospitals in the Labor and Delivery and Day Surgery floors. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a former member of the U.S. Power Squadron. The Joachim family spent many summers on their boat in New York - from the day school let out for the summer until the day it started back. She and her first husband, James Joachim, enjoyed traveling around the U.S. in their motor home seeing the beauty of our great country. Anne was affectionately known as "Nana", not only to her family but to many others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be truly missed.

In addition to her parents, Anne is preceded in death by her first husband, James Joachim and her second husband, James McIntyre.

Survivors include her son, Don Joachim and wife, Katie; daughter, Tami Brzenk and husband, Stan; step-daughter, Mary Socha and husband, Larry; sister, Linda Maccubbin and husband, Don; grandchildren, Hunter, Katie, Jaci, Ashley, Beau, Alex, Levi, Zac and Ella; great grandchildren, Landen, Logan and Anna; sister in-law, Jane Snell and husband, Richard; nieces and nephew, Carol, Susan and Tom; twelve great nieces and nephews; along with her beloved dog, JoJo.

The family will receive guests from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2014 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg with services beginning at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Houston Hospice, 1905 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas.
