Daniel Bond Dickinson was born on September 1, 1932 in Hillsboro, Texas to Henry Braswell Dickinson and Alice (Bond) Dickinson. He played quarterback at Midland High School and attended Texas Christian University before joining the Navy in 1953. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserve until 1961. After departing active duty Dan attended and graduated from Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas with a Geology degree. Dan then began his 50+ year career in the Oil industry, traveling the world for all of those years. Dan enjoyed working, playing golf, and listening to classic country music; along with cheering for the TCU Horned Frogs during football season. He married Lois (Geisler) Dickinson and raised a daughter (Holly) together. He later married Seung Hee and they raised two more girls (Laura and Debbie). He was known as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend with a great sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Dickinson and sister, Sara Dennett.

Dan is survived by his wife, Seung Hee Dickinson; daughters, Holly Robison and husband Bruce, Laura Bond Dickinson, and Debbie Bond Dickinson; granddaughter, Caitlin Henney; siblings, Mary Jess Baze, Ruth Ann Metheny and husband Ralph Metheny, Sue Apodaca, Martha Alexander and husband Ken Alexander, Mark Dickinson and wife Jo Ann Dickinson, Elizabeth de Bessonet and husband John de Bessonet and sister-in-law Inez Dickinson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A service celebrating Daniel's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
