Vernise Jauer Schultz, 94, of Rosenberg, passed away on April 28, 2015 in Sugar Land. She was born on July 19, 1920 in Karnes City, Texas to Paul and Hilda (Sahm) Jauer. Vernise worked for Duncan Coffee Company, which later became Maryland Coffee Co. and then part of the Coca-Cola Company, for over 32 years. She enjoyed crocheting, camping and she loved tending to her garden and her flowers.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Schultz; her parents; her son, James Griffith; and siblings, Vinona Kling and Harvey Jauer.

Survivors include her stepchildren, Frances Richerson, Jimmy Schultz and wife, Linda, and Deborah Ann Barlow and husband, John; grandchildren, Daye Lynn Williams and Steven Paul Griffith; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Jauer; nephew, Wayne Jauer; care-taker and friend, Martha; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2015 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Houston.

Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church in Rosenberg.
