Jason Robert Pearce, 33, passed away Friday, August 7, 2015 in Houston. He was born April 15, 1982 in Houston to Donald Glen Pearce and Alice Naylor Pearce. Jason was a member of Colony Creek Community Church in Missouri City and worked as a landscaper.

Survivors include his parents, Donald Glen Pearce and Alice Naylor Pearce, paternal grandparents, Glen and Opal Pearce, brother, Jeremiah Glen Pearce and wife Nancy, 2 nephews, Caleb Joshua Pearce, Noah Jeremiah Pearce, 2 nieces, Grace Constance Pearce, Elizabeth Marie Pearce and a host of other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alva Wilson Naylor and Katherine Green Naylor and his younger brother, Joshua David Pearce.

Jason was a very compassionate and loving person to friends, family and acquaintances. He was witty and loved to make people laugh. He was hard working and liked working with his hands. He liked installing paver patios and building things out of wood and took pride when the results matched his expectations. He excelled in golf and was on the Elkins High School golf team in 1998-2000. After high school, he began playing pocket billiards and was an excellent pool player widely known and respected throughout the Houston pool community. He had his struggles as a young adult, but he was really making some positive changes this year and was very hopeful about the future. We don't understand why he was taken from his loved ones so young in life, but we thank God for having had Jason in our lives. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Osborn officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
