Guillermo Lopez Garcia entered into eternal rest on August 20, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. "Salud!" to the greatest man that ever touched all of our lives so dearly. He will forever live in our hearts and minds. His love, compassion, stories, serenade, humor and contagious laughter will carry on in us always. Until we meet again, sweet man.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the funeral home with a Rosary being recited at 12:00 p.m.


Following the visitation, everyone is invited for refreshments at the home of Sandra and Scott Heitmann, 1123 Augusta Drive, (Pecan Grove Subdivision), in Richmond, Texas.


Guillermo was born on February 28, 1934 in Mexico. He worked as a manager for Los Tios Mexican Restaurant for many years. He was honored for his contributions in receiving an Entrepreneur Award and was beloved by all of his customers and staff. Guillermo was a committed and devoted member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Richmond. He leaves a legacy of being a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend that will truly be missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

Guillermo is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Garcia Rojas and Maria de la luz Luebano; and siblings, Carlos, Maria Theresa and Enrique Garcia.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Delia Garcia; children, Maricela Lugo and husband, Ignacio, Guillermo Garcia, Jr. and wife, Martha, and Sandra Heitmann and husband, Scott; brother, Mario Garcia; grandchildren, Ronald and wife, Amy Negrini, Dominick and wife, Monica Negrini, Sara Lugo, Ryan Arnett Heitmann, and Holly Hope Garcia; great grandchildren, Mia and Marie Negrini and Emma Henshaw; along with other family members and friends.
