Matilda A. Meyer
  
Matilda A. Meyer of Needville, passed away on September 1, 2015 at the age of 92. She was born on August 17, 1923 in Washington County, Texas to Henry and Pauline Poehls. As a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rosenberg, Matilda taught Sunday School for over 30 years as well as assisted in the nursery and with Vacation Bible School.

In addition to her parents, Matilda is preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. Meyer; her son, James A. Meyer; and siblings, Florence Leissner, Selma Williams, Jesse Poehls and Myrtle Poehls.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Arndt and husband, Frank; daughter-in-law, Jo Meyer; grandchildren, Leann Arndt, Kevin Arndt, Cheryl Kunz and husband, Troy, and Sarah Willman and husband, Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Timothy, Andrew, Reagan and Rylee; siblings, Lawrence Poehls and wife, Christine, Milton Poehls and wife, Barbara and Pauline Fischer; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2015 in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rosenberg with Rev. Wayne Schueler officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Needville.

Memorials may be made in Matilda's name to the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
