Leona (Eda) Petroski, age 78, of Rosenberg passed away on December 13, 2015 in Sugar Land. She was born on April 11, 1937 in Rosenberg, Texas. Leona was a faithful and dedicated member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg and she held memberships with Catholic Daughters and the American Legion Ladies Auxillary. This loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend will be missed.

Leona is preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Wrobliski; and her great grandson, Brayden Hicks. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Arkence Petroski; children, Brenda Sillavan, Allen Petroski, Patsy Hicks, Charlene Dickerson, and Denise Mayfield and husband, Joseph; grandchildren, Kristin Sillavan, Kevin Sillavan, Scott Petroski and wife, Megan, Kelly Nowak and husband, Zach, Magen Petroski, Robyn Hicks, Tracy Hicks, Riley Mayfield and Ethan Mayfield; great grandson, Joshua Ecke; cousin, Josephine Kovar; special family friend, Gladys Janczak; along with extended family and friends.


Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.


The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg with Fr. William D. Bartniski officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.

Memorials may be directed to the Diabetes Foundation or to Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg.
