Victoria Helen Valicek, 91, a resident of Rosenberg, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at the age of 91. She was born September 22, 1924 in Stoneham, Texas to Frank and Annie (Naskrent) Wietrzyski.

Victoria is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Annie; her husband of 65 years, Leon Valicek; an infant daughter, Mary Francis in 1953; siblings, Mary Schlowinski, Verna Pavlock, Martha Wietrzyski, John Witzkoski and Christine Janeck; infant siblings, Joe and Lucy; and son-in-law, Bill Strickland who passed away only a few hours after Victoria.

Survivors include her son, Leroy Valicek and wife, Carole of Wallis; daughter, Dorothy Strickland of Garden Ridge; sister, Rosalie Lewandowski of McAllen; granddaughters, Tamara (Valicek) Maresh and husband, John of Wallis; Sandra Lee (Valicek) Tietze and husband, Craig of Boerne, Patricia Lynn (Valicek) Martinez and husband, Daniel of Rosenberg, Debra Kay (Valicek) Hoffman and husband, Karl of Katy, Nicole (Strickland) Crawford and husband, Eddy of Brady, Holly (Strickland) McNeil and husband, Steve of Cibolo, Lacey (Strickland) Smith and husband, Greg of Garden Ridge; great grandchildren, Trent Maresh and wife, Jacquelyn, Wesley Maresh and Weston Tietze all of College Station; Nathan and Bryce Hoffman of Katy, Abigail and Brady Ryan of Brady, Reagan and Austin McNeil of Cibolo, and Parker and Kennedy Smith of Garden Ridge; step great granddaughters, Lexi and Lynsie Martinez of Rosenberg; and one great great granddaughter, Julianne Grace Maresh; along with extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 7, 2016 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 8, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg with Father William D. Bartniski officiating. Interment will follow at West Gethsemane Gardens.
