Gladys Marie Wells, 81, passed away at her home on Sunday, March 27, 2016 surrounded by those who loved her. She was born June 15, 1934 in Dallas to Eugene Watson and Gladys Smith Watson.

Gladys loved nothing more in life than being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and always had the most beautiful yards wherever she lived. She was the fiercest protector of those she loved and could be downright feisty when poked at. Her earliest memories were filled with the times spent with her 7 brothers and sisters, playing with corncob dolls and having to work in the fields where they lived. She believed family should be cherished and always made considerable effort to have everyone get together on holidays. Some of her kiddos favorite memories are the road trips she liked to put together and the effort she put into making them fun. She had a sharp wit that would make you laugh and a heart bigger than life itself. Her family is so grateful for all the time we had with her and will miss her more than we could have ever imagined.

She is survived by her daughter, Shanna Gonzales and husband Lupe, sister, Katherine Clark, 2 brothers Floyd and Lonnie Watson, 4 grandchildren, Weldon Crowsey, Lisa Lindemann, Adrian and Emily Gonzales, 4 great grandchildren, Taylor and Stacy Crowsey and Madison and Jaxon Lindemann, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cleo Wells, her son, David Pryor, her daughter, Donna Raska, her sister, Doris Ekleberry and 2 brothers, Bob Watson and Lloyd Watson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 2:00 .M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
