Kenneth E. Benson of Missouri City, Texas passed away at his residence on May 28, 2016. He was born on January 1, 1923 in Ripley, West Virginia. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Prior to his retirement, Kenneth was a hairdresser for 35 years. He also enjoyed woodworking and upholstering. This loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ethel Benson; and siblings, Raymond Benson, Carl Benson and Viola McMahan.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Germaine Benson; children, Nadine Lambeth and husband, James Grady Dodd II, Douglas Benson and wife, Alice, and Renee Benson Maule and husband, Warren; siblings, Ralph, Lawrence and Vernon Benson and Helen Thomas; grandchildren, Kari Watts and husband, Barrett, Kenneth Taylor Benson and wife, Phoebe, Mary Maule, and Brian Maule; along with extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
