Eugene L. Dobesh, 84, of Richmond, Texas passed away on June 13, 2016. He was born on August 20, 1931 in Fairchild, Texas to Ludwig and Henrietta (Chudej) Dobesh.
He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a Life long member of the American Legion, Post #271. Eugene was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Rosenberg. He retired from W.K.M. after 43 years. This loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend will be missed.

Eugene is preceded in death by his parents, Ludwig and Henrietta Dobesh; brother, Wayne Dobesh; and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Howard Krobot, R.P. Siptak, Frank Zapalac and his wife, Dorothy Zapalac.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Bernice Dobesh; daughters, Connie Dobesh and Monica Dobesh Vacek; grandsons, Preston Hood and Matthew Reid Vacek and wife, Brittney; great granddaughter, Serenity Vacek; sisters, Erline Krobot and Joyce Borowiak and husband, Wallace; along with extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

The service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church in Rosenberg, Texas. Burial with military honors will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.

Eugene's cousins will serve as pallbearers: Dennis Sbrusch, Larry Sykora, Gerald Matheaus, David Lindemann, Charles Dobesh, Charles Fisk, James Raska, Ronnie Raska, Ben Matheaus and Leslie Kovar.
