Nicolasa "Connie" Garcia, 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 5, 2010 in Houston. She was born July 18, 1931 in Los Indios, Texas to Abel and Elvira Aguilar.
Throughout her life, she touched many people's lives with her beautiful and sweet smile. She was a true blessing to her children and those who knew her as "Wella". Connie enjoyed spending time with her son and family at The Crazy Gorilla Resale and Furniture and will be missed dearly.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Juan Garcia, her brother Alberto Aguilar, and sister Louisa Guerrero.
Connie is survived by five children, Carlos Garcia and wife Helene, Guadalupe Lerma and husband Manuel, John Garcia and wife Diane, Alice Cortez and husband Gilbert and Gracie Rivera and husband Robert, five siblings Anita Ramirez, Juan Aguilar, Abel Aguilar Jr., Viola Garcia, and Lollie Rios, 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral services for Connie will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Rudy Lopez presiding. Burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be in the Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel from 4-8 P.M. on Tuesday. A prayer service will begin at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
